Fall & Winter Training

Fall Training is well under way at CASS every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4:30-6:30pm.

Cross Country training will be only on Sundays, 2:00-4:00pm. Meeting place is at Roth Park.

The Winter program runs from November to March. View the “Schedule” for the dates, times and training facilities. (Times are subject to change)

Fall Training

WLAC has a new training segment to the club. This training is done in the General Preparation Period (GPP), it includes background training, general conditioning (cross runs, weights training, hill training, sand/aquatic, games, etc.) Training is 3 days a week at WCI and the track at CASS.  Start date is early September.

 

Winter Training

The winter program is designed for all athletes. It operates from the end of November to the beginning of March. Training is done three days/evenings per week, with competitive meets on the weekends. Types of training include endurance and weights (at WCI), workouts (at Cowan Park).

 

Cross Country

This is strongly recommended for distance runners, especially those who are running with their school. Runners train once a week starting early September through to November. This program operates primarily to supplement and compliment school training. Practices are held on Sunday afternoons.
